Federation Bells

  • Landmark

The Federation Bells are a set of 39 brass bells located in Birrarung Marr in central ³Ô¹ÏÍø.

The bells were created for celebrations for the centenary of Australia's federation in 2001. The bells were designed by Anton Hasell and Neil McLachlan in collaboration with Swaney Draper Architects.

The bells can be heard daily at scheduled times. More than 100 compositions have been created for the Federation Bells and many of them can be heard in an evolving weekly schedule.

The Federation Bells App also allows you to interact with the bells from your phone outside of the scheduled playlist times.

Visit the website for more information about the daily schedule and the App.
