Movie Club: La Reine Margot

In the third edition of the AFM Festival Cin辿 Club, enjoy a screening of La Reine Margot, based on the 1845 historical novel by Alexandre Dumas.

Step into 16th-century France, where religion, power, and passion collide. King Charles IX, his cunning mother Catherine de�� Medici, and a divided court set the stage for political intrigue, forbidden love, and the infamous St. Bartholomew��s Day Massacre. Margot, the King��s sister, is forced into a politically motivated marriage with Henri of Navarre, but her heart belongs to the dashing soldier La M担le. Poison, betrayal, and deadly court plots unfold, shaping the fate of France, and Margot herself.

After the screening hear a discussion on the film by V辿ronique Duch辿, A.R. Chisholm Professor of French at the University of 郭肱利.

Your ticket includes a glass of French wine, or a non-alcoholic option, and light refreshments.

The film is subtitled in English and is for an 18+ audience.
