Kalling Screening and Q&A

Enjoy a screening of the short documentary film Kalling (擧悋��擯) in Iranian with English subtitles, followed by an in conversation Q&A with Mozhgan Pazooki, Iranian documentary filmmaker, moderated by Sue Maslin AO.

Kalling is a documentary about the traditional pearl diving industry in Iran and its exploitation of native free divers. In Kish Island, Iran, locals call pearl oysters ��kalling��. Directed by an Iranian woman Mozhgan Pazooki, under very restricted conditions and within the framework of Islamic regulations - this is the first underwater documentary made by an Iranian woman wearing full hijab.
