Ian Potter State Theatre
The Ian Potter State Theatre, with its majestic stage curtain featuring hand-painted Victorian wildflowers, the state’s Coat of Arms, and an outspread lyrebird’s tail, is Arts Centre ³Ô¹ÏÍø's premier theatre and home to the Australian Ballet and Opera Australia.
Opened in 1984 and housed beneath Arts Centre ³Ô¹ÏÍø's signature spire, the 2085-seat Ian Potter State Theatre has one of the largest stages in the world, staging a range of events including ballet, music, Broadway musicals and grand opera.
