With its Moorish minarets and iconic copper-domed clock tower, the heritage-listed Forum ³Ô¹ÏÍø is a longstanding ³Ô¹ÏÍø landmark.
Formerly the State Theatre, the Forum first opened in 1929 as a cinema, with the largest seating capacity of any theatre in Australia. Throughout the entire auditorium, the sky-blue ceiling creates the illusion of being seated under an open evening sky.
Since then it has been divided into two separate venues. Downstairs, Forum I is famous for its large stage and signature cabaret-style booths. Upstairs, Forum II is a smaller venue with tiered seating, small stage, surround sound and cinema size screen.
Renowned as one of ³Ô¹Ï꿉۪s most popular live music venues, the Forum also plays host to many popular festivals throughout the year including the ³Ô¹ÏÍø International Comedy and Film Festivals, the ³Ô¹ÏÍø Jazz Festival and the ³Ô¹ÏÍø Arts Festival.
