In her new contemplative series, Dharshi de Silva reimagines Eden — not as an unfathomable paradise or a mythical garden of innocence, but as a living metaphor for harmony of natural order. It reflects our everlasting bond with nature and the ways in which ancient myths echo our curiosity about life’s creation and unending search for the heavens.
Through intricate eco-printing techniques, where images emerge directly from leaves, bark, and blossoms, de Silva captures the rhythms of growth, decay, and renewal. Each work carries a dialogue between the natural and the human, weaving in references to sacred narratives that have preserved ancestral wisdom. Nature here is a collaborator, revealing the transformational capacity of organic forms.
The exhibition suggests that Eden is not lost, but present in the gestures of renewal that surround us — in the return of light after darkness, in the resilience of growth, and in our ability to find our way back into the flow of life itself.
