Mez (who, surprisingly, has genuine wine chops and, unsurprisingly, is an idiot) has been busy meticulously 'researching' new wines for this latest show. It’s hard work, but someone’s got to do it.

For the uninitiated, An Idiot’s Guide to Wine is a wine tasting unlike any other. Each guest sips six wines, handpicked by Mez while he dishes out wine facts, food pairing suggestions and jokes about the French.

Previous shows have been performed at arts festivals, wineries, town halls, casinos, and New Zealand shopping malls, but The Spiegeltent is the most elegant of them all.

This is the perfect way to spend a festival afternoon, with great mates, great wines, and great comedy.
