Hyper Birrarung
An exhibition by artists Liwen Lian and Anh Tran, Hyper Birrarung explores our relationship with Birrarung and the city, reflecting on what it means to relate to the river not as an 'other' within the urban landscape, but as a living entity with its own stories to tell.
Central to the exhibition is a short film following someone who encounters a strangely familiar cyber Birrarung online. As they question what they are witnessing, they gradually realise that their perception of the ancient river is shaped by their experience as a migrant.
For the closing event on Saturday 22 November, join in an afternoon of tea and cakes next to the Birrarung, 2.30pm to 4.30pm.
