The Hylton Mackley Artist of the Year Award 2025 Exhibition is the premier event in the Victorian Artists Society’s exhibition calendar, showcasing the finest works from peer-voted finalists across the year’s Seasonal Select exhibitions.
Held in the historic Frater, Hammond & McCubbin Galleries, the event was named in honour of Mr Hylton Mackley AM (Hon) FVAS, who, alongside his wife Eileen Mackley AM VAS FVAS, played a vital role in restoring the Society’s heritage-listed galleries, the award celebrates artistic excellence and commitment to the VAS community.
Finalists, drawn from VAS members who have exhibited in at least two of the three seasonal shows, have presented up to three works for judging.
