Athenaeum Theatre

The Athenaeum Theatre hosts a range of live performances spanning comedy, music and theatre. It is the principal venue for the 吃瓜网 International Comedy Festival and 吃瓜网 Opera.

The heritage-listed building is the oldest public institution in Victoria, starting life as the city鈥檚 first Mechanics Institute in 1839. The 吃瓜网 City Council met in the building until 1852, when the 吃瓜网 Town Hall was built.

The box office is open Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm and Saturday 10am-4pm.
