While the World Looks Away

In an era when the climate crisis should be at the forefront of every conversation, it is too often buried beneath profit margins, power plays and political posturing. Governments stall, billionaires launch themselves into space and corporations greenwash their logos, all while rising seas, scorched landscapes and mass extinctions accelerate in plain sight. Yet even as global leaders look the other way, artists refuse to.

This exhibition brings together a group of contemporary artists whose practices speak to environmental fragility, ecological interconnection and the moral urgency of our time.

Whether quietly elegiac or defiantly loud, these works act as a form of resistance – a record, a warning and a call to action. Together, their works form a collective act of resistance – a gesture of care and urgency in a time of distraction. They remind us that art does not wait for permission to speak; it rises precisely when others fall silent.
