Walking Tour: Robin Boyd's Neighbourhood

  • Walking tour
  • Events

Come on a journey through a slice of South Yarra with an expertly curated walking tour, to discover the precinct’s diverse architectural streetscape.

In 1958, Robin Boyd completed his experimental and instantly iconic modernist home in Walsh Street, thus contributing to the architectural excellence of one of ³Ô¹Ï꿉۪s most desired suburbs.

Explore his home precinct, which remains remarkable for its architectural diversity, and sheer number of well preserved, heritage listed residences. You'll also explore the history, landscape and stories of this unique pocket of ³Ô¹ÏÍø.

This walking tour is approximately 2.5km and takes up to two hours. It is very leisurely paced, but does involve an uphill section of several hundred metres. Moderate fitness levels are required by attendees.
