Ron and Isobel
It's Saturday 15 November 1975, just four days after the dismissal of Prime Minister Gough Whitlam. Staunch Labor supporter Ron is reeling from shock and his wife Isobel is on the verge of a major dummy spit. When the new 'Liberal-loving' neighbours drop by and their son Jay makes a monumental announcement, the stage is set for a night to remember.
Based on real life events, this boisterous, heartfelt comedy by award-winning playwright Anna Lall takes place over the course of a single evening – think Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf meets Don’s Party hot-housed in a 1970s reno nightmare.
