Journalist and playwright Jane Cafarella was well known in the 1990s for her columns in The Age and feminist writing and cartooning.

With her grandmother��s voice speaking clearly from the past, and her two beloved aunts talking over coffee in the present, Cleaved is a story of compassion and healing, detailing the complex and tragic consequences of the author's immigration story.
