Art at Arden

  • Free
  • Talk

Join an artist talk featuring Abdul Abdullah and Ky-ya Nicholson Ward, celebrating their permanent artworks Come Together and Terrace Artwork at the entrance of the new Arden Station.

Come Together has been installed on the eastern façade of Arden Station, connecting the past of ³Ô¹Ï꿉۪s west to its future. The mosaic artwork, extending across the Laurens Street façade, contains 2 large-scale aluminium hands, reaching across a mosaic background in a welcoming gesture, representing the coming together of people connected to the Arden area. It celebrates the communities of Arden and the station’s civic role in this emerging precinct.

Terrace Artwork by Ky-ya Nicholson Ward, etched into the terraces at Arden Station, tells the story of the artist’s ancestors, family and Country, and Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung people who lived and travelled by the Blue Lake that once existed nearby.

Register today for this free one-hour event. Presented by the Metro Tunnel Creative Program.
