ANZAC Day Dawn Service
The ³Ô¹ÏÍø Dawn Service is a solemn and enduring tradition, providing an important opportunity for Victorians to honour those who served and died in defence of our country.
Held at dawn to reflect the moment the ANZACs first approached the shores of Gallipoli and faced their initial conflict of the First World War, the service officially commences at 6.00am, with a pre-service program from 5.30am.
Multiple screens will be positioned around the Shrine of Remembrance to allow attendees to view the proceedings. Following the service, members of the public are invited to enter the Shrine’s Sanctuary to lay a poppy in remembrance.
The Shrine of Remembrance will open to the public for general viewing from 6.30am.
All are welcome to attend this free public event, which embodies the spirit of remembrance, reflection, and unity. The Dawn Service is proudly presented by RSL Victoria, with the support of the ³Ô¹ÏÍø and the Victorian Government.
