Kimper is hidden away in one of ³Ô¹ÏÍø's oldest laneways, where meals feature organic, local produce and you can find great coffee.

Staple cafe dishes include smoked salmon and a poached egg, or smashed avo. Try the brekkie platter if you're hungry.

For lunch you'll find a lamb skewer, gnocchi or the house specialty, the krimper burger served with beer-battered fries and sriracha aioli.

The cafe gets its name from the famed furniture designer Schulim Krimper, largely active until the late 1950s. One of his cabinets is on display in the cafe, and his work can be seen all over the world, including the NGV.
