Captain Melville

  • Bar
  • Restaurant

Captain Melville provides a modern take on Victoria's famed gold-rush era.

There's great pub food sourced with ethical and sustainable Victorian farms. Think steaks, snacks and pub classics.

History buffs will love the place. It is situated in the oldest still-operating pub in the central city - Mac's Hotel – which was first licensed in 1853.

As you can imagine, the pub – like the city around it – has changed a lot since it was built. There was a refit done as a collaboration between Breath Architects and the National Trust to ensure its history was preserved, and you'll find a lot of great craft beers available with knowlegeable staff behind the bar.
